Quality Control
Buying from overseas means you cannot walk the factory floor. So we document each stage and send you the record before the container leaves.
The most common complaint about imported building materials is not price — it is inconsistency. A first order arrives correct, the second has slightly different dimensions, or the finish differs between pallets. Our quality process exists mainly to prevent that.
Inspection at each stage
1. Incoming materials
Plaster, glass fibre reinforcement, aluminium coil, aluminium profiles and ABS compound are checked on arrival for grade, thickness and moisture content. Material that fails the check is not put into production.
2. In-process checks
Dimensional accuracy is measured against the mould or drawing during casting and forming. For metal products this covers wall thickness, face width and frame squareness; for cast products it covers profile depth, edge sharpness and cure state.
3. Pre-shipment inspection
Before packing, a sample is drawn from the batch and checked for dimension, surface defects, colour consistency and latch or fit operation. The result is recorded. On request we arrange third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Intertek) at your cost, or accept your own inspector on site.
4. Container loading
We photograph the loading process and send you the images along with the packing list. This gives you a record of exactly what went into the container and how it was secured.
Documentation supplied with each order
- Packing list with carton count, dimensions and gross/net weight
- QC inspection record for the batch
- Container loading photographs
- Material certificates where applicable (gypsum board, aluminium)
- Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin for customs
Product options that affect performance
| Moisture resistance | Moisture-resistant gypsum board (MR) available for access panels in humid and wet areas |
|---|---|
| Fire performance | Fire-rated panels and magnetic push-open fireproof access panels; certified to order |
| Impact resistance | GRG and ABS products resist impact without cracking, unlike solid plaster |
| Colour matching | Powder-coated aluminium and pigmented ABS matched to any RAL reference |
Export packaging
Long-haul shipping damages more goods than manufacturing defects do. Our packing is designed for a sea container and multiple handling points:
- Corner protection and edge board on every carton
- Foam or paper interleaving between finished surfaces
- Double-wall export cartons, palletised and stretch-wrapped where volume allows
- Fumigation and ISPM 15 marking for timber pallets
- Customer-branded printed cartons available for OEM orders
Samples
We supply samples before a first order so you can confirm material, finish and dimension against your own standard. Sample cost is refundable against the first production order.
