Gypsum Decorative Corner Ornaments

Applied decorative corners that break up a straight ceiling line — used at room corners, column capitals, archway junctions and door heads.

Corner ornaments are the detail that separates a plain plasterboard ceiling from a finished interior. They are applied at junctions as a decorative accent — most commonly where a cornice turns a corner, but also at column capitals, archway transitions and above door openings.

They are cast from the same high-density gypsum as our cornices, so the material, finish and installation method match. That consistency matters when both are specified on the same project: the ornament and the cornice joint, prime and paint as one surface.

Where they are used

  • Ceiling corners — applied where cornices meet, breaking the 90° join
  • Column capitals — capping round or square columns
  • Archway junctions — where an arch springs from a wall or pier
  • Above door heads — a decorative centre or corner set over an opening
  • Wall panelling — accent pieces in traditional interior schemes

Pairing with cornices

Corner ornaments are almost always ordered alongside cornices, and usually in matched designs so the profile flows into the ornament. If you are specifying both, send us the cornice profile you intend to use and we will confirm which ornament designs are dimensionally compatible.

Ordering

Send the design reference, the size, and the quantity. If you are matching an existing pattern on a project — a renovation, or a second phase of a development — a photo or a sample is enough for us to identify or reproduce it.
